We decided to host an early joint birthday celebration for both dad and Shamaine since we will be leaving for Angelina’s hometown in the coming weekend. Shamaine is turning 5 and dad is turning 70 in late June. Shamaine had decided not to talk to us for the past few days because we wouldn’t give her the presents until her actual birthday. Although the celebration was nothing more than a cake cutting ceremony and opening presents, it was rather memorable to be able to witness a granddad and a granddaughter to celebrate their birthdays together.
